It will certainly keep the luxury which is a synonym for its brand, but it will be performance-oriented more than any other Lexus car before. The 2017 Lexus LF-LC will come with a new platform, which demands additional development time, so there will be an extraordinary time gap between the first introduction of the concept and release date of the production car. Since the 2017 LF-LC should complete the Lexus’ palette and take place of the SC430, which was discontinued. At this point, it’s not known whether this car will have the SC badge or it will come with the LC nameplate. With futuristic and assertive design language, the all-new Lexus LF-LC is a coupe with sharp-looking front fascia, long hood, big shiny wheels and amazing roofline. All of the body characteristics contribute to the powerful appearance of the 2017 LF-LC. Thanks to the vast use of modern lightweight materials, the chassis and the body of the Lexus LF-LC will be lighter, which will contribute to the performance and the EPA fuel economy results.

As for the powertrain, the 2017 Lexus LF-LC will probably have a completely new hybrid powertrain. Although there are some rumors which say that it may have a 4.8-liter V-10 engine, which delivers 550 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, the LF-LC hybrid is more probable solution. The V-10 engine is the same unit which can be seen under the hood of the Lexus LF-A. According to the same sources, the 2017 Lexus LF-LC with this engine installed would sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, while its top speed would be around 200 mph. On the other hand, the hybrid powertrain will probably consist of a turbocharged inline-four gas engine and an electric motor.
